A recent trip away to Cumbria allowed me to capture some classic landscapes in Wasdale, in the northern part of the lake district. Wast water is unique as it has two largest geographical features relating to England,a, Wast water is the deepest lake in England at 79mts (258 ft), deep and is a relic of the ice age,
and b,
Scarfel Pike Englands highest mountain ((3,209 ft). lies at the head of the dale.
Its natural beauty is spell binding and is on of my favourite places.
What a difference a week makes, from a cold dry very successful evening at the GWR the previous weekend to a blizzard !
This weekend saw us travel north to Manchester and the East Lancashire Railway at their Bury Bolton street headquarters. Our subject matter for this shoot should have been green liveried type 3 diesel hydraulic ‘hymek’ D7076 and the railways green deltic.
Due to the weather neither happened, our charter was victim to the blizzard that engulfed most of the country.
But every cloud and that… 
blue deltic 55022 was running on the service train and was placed in the platform for us to phot under the station lights, the rostered steam loco , BR standard 80080 was also stabled for a while in platform 3 and was available to shoot, allowing for two atmospheric shots to be added behind the link.
I was contacted by the marketing department of Rentokil and asked to submit a quote for covering there up and coming annual awards dinner to be held at the Priest house hotel , Castle Donnington.
My quote was accepted and I consequently attended the event and produced a series of images for the company. I have uploaded a series here for you to see
, and to remind you that I am available to cover your next event , whether it be a black tie event like this one or a less formal but no less important one
I was contacted to photograph a businessman for some new portraits that he wants to use in his up and coming local election campaign and his newspaper column Click here to see the images

As we all wonder at what the new year will bring us and reflect on the old one about to pass I would like to say a big thanks to all my clients past and present and I look forward to welcoming new clients and customers in 2012.
